PITTSBURGH — Gas prices fell in Pennsylvania for the start of the busy holiday travel week.
This week’s average price in western Pennsylvania is $3.379, which is 5 cents down from last week’s average of $3.423, AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report said.
After weeks of slightly lower prices, the national average for a gallon of gas increased over the past week. The price increase comes as a record 119 million people are forecast to travel this holiday season and 107 million will travel by car.
