PITTSBURGH — Heinz Field was being prepped all day long on Friday for Kenny Chesney's return to Pittsburgh on Saturday.
This year is the seventh year Heinz Field will host Chesney's concert for 50,000 fans.
However, Heinz Field's stadium management does have concerns about Saturday's hot weather forecast.
The weather, combined with people drinking alcohol, leaves the potential for heat-related problems and crowd control, said stadium management.
Cooling areas will be set up and plenty of medics and police will be on hand, according to stadium management.
Fans are being asked to come early. Parking lots will open at 10 a.m. Gates will open at 3:10 p.m. The pre-show is set to start at 5 p.m., and Chesney takes the stage at 8:40 p.m.
"The person sitting beside you is here to have a good time, too. Come early, enjoy yourself, but take it easy, too," said Jimmy Sacco, Heinz Field manager.
