PITTSBURGH — Two Pittsburgh museums are again offering free admission for kids for a limited time.

The Heinz History Center and Fort Pitt Museum will let kids under the age of 17 in for free during Black History Month (February) and Women’s History Month (March). Regular admission prices still apply to adults and groups.

At Heinz History Center, families can explore six floors of award-winning exhibitions and interactive learning spaces — like the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood exhibition, the Apollo 11 section of Pittsburgh: A Tradition of Innovation, and the two-floor Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum.

At the Fort Pitt Museum, families can visit a brand new exhibit, Homelands, which explores the history and culture of American Indian tribes who once called this region home.

The History Center and Fort Pitt Museum are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
