Here’s where you can recycle Christmas trees, string lights in Westmoreland County

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — Anyone looking to properly dispose of their Christmas tree or string lights in Westmoreland County has several options.

Westmoreland County Cleanways and Recycling will accept Christmas trees at 14 drop-off sites. Each drop-off site has different operating dates and times.

Trees must be bare of decorations when dropped off. Once dropped off, the trees will be chipped into mulch and used at community parks.

Broken or unwanted string lights can be dropped off at the Recycling Center in Greensburg during operating hours.
