PITTSBURGH — When the Pro Football Hall of Fame released the names of 167 modern-era players nominated for the 2025 Hall of Fame Class back in September, seven former Steelers were on the list.
Two went on to be named semifinalists, Hines Ward and James Harrison.
But when the selection committee named 15 finalists on Saturday, no one representing the Black and Gold remained in contention for Hall of Fame enshrinement.
The selected finalists are: Eric Allen, Jared Allen, Willie Anderson, Jahri Evans, Antonio Gates, Torry Holt, Luke Keuchly, Eli Manning, Steve Smith Sr., Terrell Suggs, Fred Taylor, Adam Vinatieri, Reggie Wayne, Darren Woodson and Marshal Yanda. Between four and eight finalists will be selected for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
