HOMER CITY, Pa. — A house in Homer City, Indiana County, was destroyed after being engulfed by flames early Sunday morning.
Firefighters were called to Ridge Avenue to battle the fire, which shot flames, and thick smoke through windows and the roof of the house.
"It was gone within a couple minutes. It was fully involved and it went down pretty quick," said Chief Joe Iezzi.
Six fire departments responded to the blaze.
The homeowner was not home at the time of the fire, the cause of which is under investigation.
