No animals or humans were injured when a vehicle crashed into the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh’s East Side shelter.
Damages to the building at 6926 Hamilton Avenue were discovered by employees opening for the morning. There is extensive damage to an exterior brick wall and interior office in the administrative area of the building, the shelter reports.
Pittsburgh police are investigating.
Operations are not impacted and the shelter is open as usual with adoption hours from 1 to 6 p.m. and the veterinary medical center open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
