PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Regional Transit said an internet outage has delayed T rail cars and has thrown several of their systems offline.
Adam Brandolph, spokesperson for PRT, says that rail cars are delayed by about 20 minutes in both directions.
PRT can not program or play audio announcements at stations right now. They added that TrueTime is working but it’s unknown if riders can make changes to their ConnectCard accounts.
Brandolph said besides those, it’s unclear exactly which systems are affected. PRT is working to determine what is impacted and to restore everything as quickly as possible.
PRT’s phone lines are working and riders can call them with any questions about service at 412-442-2000.
