PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are investigating after a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened in the 700 block of Excelsior Street at 10:43 a.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they administered aid to the teen until medics arrived. He was then taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died, according to public safety officials.
A family member told Channel 11 the victim’s name is Mohamed Hussein. His identity and age were confirmed by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday.
Sources confirm to Channel 11 that Hussein was involved in a shooting in Braddock on Aug. 27 that left two high school students dead and a third juvenile injured.
As of now, there is no word of any suspects.
The investigation is ongoing.
