Los Angeles’ Palisades and Eaton wildfires deemed fully contained

LOS ANGELES — After nearly a month, two wind-fueled deadly wildfires in Southern California are fully contained.

NBC News reports that the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection declared the Palisades and Eaton Fires as 100% contained on Friday.

Both fires broke out on Jan. 7 and combined burned more than 37,000 acres across Los Angeles County.

At least 29 people were killed in the two fires. The official cause of the fires remains under investigation.
