Male found shot in city’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood

PITTSBURGH — Detectives are investigating after a male was shot multiple times in Pittsburgh’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood.

Officers were called to the area of Geyer and Shadeland avenues for two ShotSpotter alerts totaling eight rounds around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

They found a male in the area of Schimmer Street and Staho Way with gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was taken to a local hospital where he was last listed in stable condition, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

Two guns were recovered during the investigation. A house in the 3100 block of Shadeland Avenue was damaged by gunfire.

Mobile Crime Unit detectives processed the scene and the Violent Crime Unit is investigating.
