PITTSBURGH — A 71-year-old Pittsburgh man pleaded guilty to a federal drug charge on Tuesday.

David Loveings pleaded guilty to a charge of possession with the intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine.

Information presented to the court states Loveings was pulled over by Pittsburgh police for traffic violations. That traffic stop eventually led to a search of Loveings’ vehicle, which resulted in law enforcement finding and seizing 927 grams of cocaine.

Loveings will be sentenced in May. He faces between five and 40 years in prison, a fine of no more than $5 million, or both.
