Man accused of leading state police on chase, fighting trooper in Industry

INDUSTRY, Pa. — A man is facing charges after he allegedly led state police on a chase and found a trooper in Industry Borough on Tuesday.

Pennsylvania State Police in Beaver County said Douglas Nevill, 29, was seen driving on state Route 68 at around 8:30 a.m.

Nevill had multiple felony arrest warrants out of the Brighton Township Police Department, so the corporal who saw him tried to pull him over.

Nevill fled the traffic stop and led police on a chase until they got to Willow Brook Road and he rolled his car after failing to negotiate a curve.

State police said Nevill got out of his car and tried to run before he got into a fight with the corporal.

Nevill was taken into custody and is being held in the Beaver County Jail awaiting arraignment.
