Man arrested, charged with homicide in fatal shooting in Armstrong County

NORTH BUFFALO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man is behind bars after a fatal shooting in Armstrong County Sunday night.

The shooting happened in the 200 block of Wilson Road in North Buffalo Township around 10:22 p.m.

Pennsylvania State Police said that 24-year-old Nicholas Fortuna shot Jonathon Blackburn.

Blackburn, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fortuna has been charged with criminal homicide, possession of an instrument of crime and possession of a weapon. He is currently in the Armstrong County Jail awiting preliminary charges.

State police continue to investigate.
