PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police arrested a man who was wanted for an incident that left a woman dead and another person injured on the border of two Pittsburgh neighborhoods.
Pittsburgh Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in January that led to finding a woman struck by a car and a man with a gunshot wound to the head.
The victims were found in the 300 block of Minton Street in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood around 5:40 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive woman, later identified as 34-year-old Ashley L Roberts by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Early into the investigation, police learned she was hit by a car.
The male victim, who hasn’t been identified, had a gunshot wound to the head. He said the shooting happened in Sheraden.

Police told Channel 11 that 22 shell casings were found at the scene on Minton Street.
Pittsburgh police said they’ve arrested 27-year-old Alec Stefanovits on a warrant for criminal homicide in connection to this incident.
According to police, Stefanovits was in the Allegheny County Jail on unrelated charges. He’s now charged with criminal homicide.
