PITTSBURGH — Man arrested in Detroit in connection with fatal North Side shooting
The U.S. Marshal's Service arrested a man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting on Pittsburgh's North Side.
Police arrested Wesley Richards near Detroit Tuesday.
Richards was wanted in connection with a deadly shooting at JR's Bar on East Ohio Street in October, police said.
According to investigators, Donald Lowry was standing at the bar when Richards walked up to him and the two exchanged words. Shortly after, police said, Richards pulled out a silver pistol and fired multiple times as the victim tried to run away.
The police report stated that a security guard tried to detain the shooter, but another man in the bar struck the security guard over the head with a beer bottle.
Richards is charged with homicide.
