BALDWIN BOROUGH, Pa. — A man is behind bars after police say he shot and killed the mother of his child inside her Baldwin apartment.

Adelin Itongwa, 22, is charged in the shooting death of RaMiah Griffin, 20.
“We’re happy that they found who did it but we’re still grieving the loss of my sister,” MaRiah Griffin said.
Griffin was found fatally shot inside her apartment on Youngridge Drive on Feb. 9. She had been shot 12 times, likely around 3 a.m., homicide detectives said.
Allegheny County police said her 1-year-old daughter was found unharmed in an adjacent room in the apartment.
“We treated him like family. He was at the family dinners and anytime there was a birthday, he was there,” Mariah Griffin said.

Itongwa was taken into custody on Wednesday.
“He wanted us to find her like that. He wanted us to find my niece soiled in her diaper and my sister lifeless on her bed,” Mariah Griffin said.
He is charged with criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of a child.
