BRADDOCK, Pa. — A man is dead and another has been arrested after a shooting in Braddock.
Allegheny County dispatchers confirmed that officers were called to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of 4th Street at around 1:35 p.m. on Sunday.
After getting to the scene, officers found the body of a 19-year-old Marvin Dewit Matthews Jr. inside a residence.
Officials said that the suspect stayed on the scene, and he was taken into custody.
Allegheny County police said that William Shelton, 19, was responsible for the shooting. He has been charged with criminal homicide and is currently in the Allegheny County Jail.
Homicide detectives will continue to investigate the scene. Anyone with more information is asked to contact county police.
