HOMESTEAD, Pa. — A man has died after being shot in Homestead Friday morning.

It happened in a small alley between East 18th and 19th Streets in Homestead and on Friday morning.

“Here they find a 31-year-old male inside a vehicle shot multiple times. He was taken to an area hospital,” said Lt. Venerando Costa.

That 31-year-old man is Isaac Love and the Medical Examiner confirmed he died at the hospital as County Police continued searching the scene for the two shooters.

“Two males. We know they walked up into the alley shot at the victim seated in the vehicle then fled back down across McClure Street down the alley,” Costa said.

But when asked, police wouldn’t give us a vehicle description. Just minutes and less than a mile later, a police pursuit started between a white car and an unmarked police gray SUV.

According to witnesses, a white car came speeding down Duquesne Avenue attempting to go left, but it was blocked by a police cruiser. That’s when witnesses told Channel 11, the driver backed up into this fire hydrant and a gray SUV came down the hill hitting the driver side of the white car. That’s when both took off continuing the pursuit down Greensprings Avenue.

It all ended blocks away with both vehicles damaged on Cypress Street. Detectives told Channel 11 one suspect from the chase was arrested at the cars, and the other we captured in the back of a cruiser on Oak Street after a foot chase.

County police said they are looking into if this pursuit is related to the shooting. Channel 11 did see a handgun picked up with an extended magazine in the crash by the vehicles, but we are told it’s all part of an active investigation.
