ROSS, Pa. — One man has died following an accident on Interstate 279 northbound in Ohio Township early Monday.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, around 1:15 a.m. a white Nissan Sentra driven by Lenny M. Dunnivan, 29, lost control and hit the guide wire on the side of the road.
Dunnivan’s vehicle then traveled across both lanes and was disabled on the eastern side of I-279 N at mile marker 7.5 partially in the right lane.
Dunnivan then left where the accident happened, according to police.

Shortly after, a black Cadillac Fleetwood driven by David P. Rennebeck, 67, was traveling in the right northbound lane of I-279, and collided with the unoccupied Nissan Sentra that was partially in the right lane.
The Cadillac finally stopped nearly 231 feet after the initial hit, after it struck a tree on the eastern side of the road.
Rennebeck was trapped in the driver’s seat of his vehicle.
He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital and was pronounced dead later Monday morning.
