NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man died in a hospital after he was hit by a vehicle in Neshannock on Friday morning.
Police were called to the intersection of Wilmington Road and Nesbitt Road for a male lying on the roadway at 4:58 a.m.
According to police, the victim was jogging when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling north on Wilmington Road. He was taken to a hospital from the scene and died later in the day.
Police said the victim was 67 years old.
The vehicle then left the roadway, struck a fire hydrant and came to rest against a block wall.
Wilmington Road was shut down for approximately three hours for the investigation.
According to police, the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
