SLIPPERY ROCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man was found dead in his Lawrence County home Friday.

Channel 11 saw police officers in the front yard of a house on Shaffer Road in Slippery Rock Township.

Donald Robinson, 85, was pronounced dead. The Lawrence County Coroner said he was running a gas-powered log splitter in an attached garage of the house.

Officials said Robinson’s wife hasn’t seen him in a while, so she went to see what he was doing. She found him lying on the ground and called 911.

Their son got there and found his mom also lying on the ground, officials said.

The fire department found all three lying on the ground when they arrived.

The mom and son are being treated for accidental carbon monoxide poisoning.
