UPPER BURRELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Upper Burrell Township on Friday.
According to the Westmoreland County coroner’s office, 59-year-old William A. Montgomery was driving a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle on 7th Street, heading east.
The coroner’s office said that for an unknown reason, Montgomery went across the roadway and became separated from the motorcycle, landing in a residential yard.
Montgomery was pronounced deceased at the scene, at 5:25 p.m.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The cause and manner of death are pending autopsy and toxicology results.
Upper Burrell Township police assisted with the investigation.
