MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. — The Aldi grocery store on Chartiers Avenue in McKees Rocks is now open after being closed for about a month for a remodel.

Shoppers are grateful to have their store back open in a new and improved form.

“This is great,” said Marian Conti, of Sheraden. “It’s larger, there’s more product and it’s easier to see.”

The new store is open every day from 9 am to 8 pm.

Conti says it’s important to once again have a convenient value grocery store option.

“The prices are reasonable. The quality’s good, so it really helps a lot,” she said.

Conti says not having the Aldi store amid rising costs and inflation was a burden for shoppers.

“I’ve been shopping for a lot of years,” said Conti. “I know where I need to go and what it’s going to cost, so I either had to find another Aldi, on a trip trying to save gas, so it made it a lot harder.”
