MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — For more than a year, people who live on Pine Drive in Moon Township have been dealing with a landslide that is crumbling a neighborhood road.
“I just noticed like some cracks in the road and I guess it’s subsidence or something,” Jolene Gratzer said of the road she has lived on for 37 years. “I don’t know what they can do about it. It would cost a lot of money to fix it.”
The road is down to one lane and the landslide has taken down nearby trees and a guardrail.
Channel 11 called the Moon Township Municipal Office, which said it was monitoring the slide and currently has an engineer working on a solution .
Gratzer said if the road were to deteriorate completely, there are alternate routes but she hopes it gets fixed soon.
Moon Township municipal officials did not say how or when the road may be fixed.
