PITTSBURGH — Country music star Morgan Wallen announced on social media Tuesday that he has to postpone six weeks of shows after receiving “bad news” from his doctor.

This apparently includes two stops in Pittsburgh on June 14 and 15. He did not specify dates in his announcement, but the Ticketmaster website lists both shows as “postponed.”

In the video, Wallen said after taking 10 days of vocal rest, he performed three shows. After the third show, he said he reinjured his vocal cords and has vocal fold trauma. He has now been ordered by his doctor to go on vocal rest for six weeks.

“We’re working on rescheduling all the dates during this time frame,” Wallen said in the announcement.

On the Ticketmaster website for the Pittsburgh shows, it says to “Please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the new date.” New dates have not yet been announced.
