PITTSBURGH — A new beer is about to hit the market here in Western Pennsylvania, and the brew is getting a lot of attention because of its name and the face on the can.
Jay Paterno, the son of late Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, has teamed up with Duquesne Brewing Company to create the "Joe Paterno Legacy Beer," according to our partners at the Trib.

Anyone eager to try the new brew won't have to wait long. Jay Paterno said on Twitter earlier this week the beer should be available to buy as early as this weekend.
According to a previous Trib article, Jay Paterno likened the new American lager to “the kind of beer my dad would have had around the house.”
“I think he'd say it sounds like it could be some fun. Of course, if it had his picture on it, he'd probably say, ‘Get it out of the house,' ” Paterno told the Trib.
Duquesne Brewing plans to distribute an initial 7,000 cases across Pennsylvania in the coming days and weeks, although information hasn’t been released on which distributors will carry the beer in the Pittsburgh region.
Part of the proceeds earned from the beer will go to Paterno family charities.
