West Mifflin police are looking for an Oklahoma man after they found a video posted on Facebook of a trespasser in the old Century III Mall.

Carter Banks is facing criminal trespass charges for the video, posted about a month ago.
“We got a tip on our tipline that there was another video posted online of somebody being inside of the mall. I sent it to my detectives. They were able to identify him through his Facebook and Instagram page,” said Chief Gregory McCulloch of the West Mifflin Police Department.
McCulloch said that in the video, Banks is with another person, who is never shown but narrates from behind the camera, who police are still working to identify.

Back in July, the West Mifflin Borough Council voted unanimously to condemn the property. A code enforcement officer recently testified in court, describing black mold and standing water inside.
The latter can be seen in Banks’ video. McCulloch said the property owner now has 24-hour security and has blocked off all entrances.
“The doors have all been secured with plywood, nailed in, so to get into that building, you’d have to tear down the plywood to get in,” McCulloch said.
He said his officers will not hesitate to arrest trespassers and has this message for those wanting to follow in banks’ footsteps.
“It’s a complete hazard. If you want to see the videos, there are plenty of videos. Just watch the videos — there’s no reason to go inside the mall,” McCulloch said.
Earlier this year, Channel 11 reported about a teenage boy who was seriously injured when he fell through the roof.
A judge recently ruled the company that owns the Century III Mall property is only responsible for paying $150,000 to West Mifflin, which is significantly lower than what the borough originally fined the company.
