Partial building collapse shuts down road in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — A partial building collapse has shut down a road in New Castle.

Officials said it happened around 9 a.m. Monday.

West Long Avenue is currently closed between Moravia and Sciota streets.

Bricks from the building are laying in the roadway, and crews have been called to demolish the building.

The fire chief said that the building was just sold yesterday.

New Castle Firefighters are currently operating at a building collapse on Long Avenue on the city’s south side. Please avoid the area.
