Pennsylvania is working to make sure all residents have access to affordable broadband service.
Monday, the director of the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority reminded residents to review the FCC broadband map.
Reviewing the map will make it more accurate and ensure a fair allocation of funding to expand broadband where it’s needed.
“This is important because the map will be used to determine how the $42 billion available through the federal bipartisan infrastructure bill will be allocated to the states to support broadband expansion,” explained executive director Brandon Carson.
The FCC’s broadband access map shows all broadband serviceable locations across the United States where fixed broadband internet access service is or can be installed.
