Pitcairn police giving away free decals for autism awareness

The Pitcairn Police Department is giving away free autism awareness decals for vehicles and homes.

The department said that they understand interacting with first responders is critical for those with autism, and that it’s essential for first responders to be prepared to respond effectively and safely.

The offer is open to all families, not just Pitcairn residents, according to the department’s Facebook post, but the department will bring stickers to residents of Pitcairn and Wilmerding.

For decals, email chief@pitcairnborough.us or stop by the station at 609 Broadway Boulevard, Pitcairn.

April is Autism Awareness month.
