PITTSBURGH — Two Pittsburgh colleges will open their 2025 football season against each other.
The game on Aug. 30 at Acrisure Stadium will be the first time in 86 years that Pitt and Duquesne meet on the football field. It’ll be the eighth all-time meeting between the programs.
Pitt, an NCAA FBS team that finished the 2024 season with a 7-6 record, has a 5-2 series lead over Duquesne.
For Duquesne, who sharted the NEC regular-season title in 2024 and finished 8-3, this game marks the 12th game against an FBS opponent in the program’s history.
Kickoff for this game and the full 2025 schedules for the Panthers and Dukes will be released at a later date.
