PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Elections Division is sending updated ballots to over 100 voters who live in the city after originally sending them out with errors on them.
The division said some voters received mail-in or absentee ballots that showed reversed Pittsburgh City Council districts in certain precincts. Around 125 people received those ballots.
The new ballots will have a green bar printed on the outer envelope to show that it is the correct and updated one.
Anyone with a ballot containing the error is asked to destroy it and the packet it came with. If an incorrect ballot is not destroyed and sent back to the division it will be set aside and reviewed. Only one ballot will be counted per voter.
The division says these voters will not be able to have a new ballot issued except through this mailing until May 3. Anyone who has not gotten their updated ballot by May 3 is asked to go to the downtown office or to contact the Elections Division.
