The NHL teamed up with Adidas to design the 2022-2023 season jerseys.
“There’s the design process, then the procurement of all the materials and then production,” chief brand officer and senior executive vice president of the NHL Brian Jennings said. “When we were winding down the initial 1.0 drop of Reverse Retro jerseys, we were already starting to think about the iterations for this drop.”
The jersey features the Penguin Robo head logo which was worn by the team through most of the 1990s. It has extra gold-and-white stripe accents on the sleeve.
The jerseys took 18-24 months to produce and will be available on Nov. 15.
