PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby moved onto ninth place on the NHL’s all-time scoring list after Thursday’s game against the Edmonton Oilers.
An assist in the first period gave Crosby his 1,642nd career point, which put him ahead of Colorado Avalanche legend and Hall of Famer Joe Sakic.
Crosby ended the game with one goal and two assists. His 1,643 points now puts him 80 points behind Penguins legend Mario Lemieux.
