PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh police officer was injured in a crash while he was blocking a ramp on the Parkway West for the presidential escort during President Biden’s Labor Day visit, according to public safety officials.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. on along the Parkway West in Robinson Township on Monday evening.
Officials said the officer was struck on his motorcycle while blocking a ramp.
He was conscious and alert, and taken to a hospital in stable condition. The officer was treated and released overnight.
Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation.
