PITTSBURGH — The annual Pittsburgh Soul Food Festival is serving up food downtown all weekend.
Dance classes and local music were also held during the festival on Saturday.
William Marshall, the event’s founder, said the event is a way to honor black food in Pittsburgh and to bring some peace to the community.
“If you can bring people out to have some good food, some good music and entertainment, you can stop the violence in the community. Every time we have these events, there is no violence,” said Marshall.
The event will hold its last day on Sunday. Jazz, RnB and Choral music will be played.
