PITTSBURGH — The iconic fountain at Point State Park has been turned off, and will likely stay off for the rest of the week.
The fountain will be cleaned due to the buildup of algae, dust and pollen.

Park Manager Kevin Blair told Channel 11 News it is an annual cleaning to make sure the fountain is working properly for the rest of the season.
Crews will drain and refill the fountain, and hope to have it open for the weekend.
