Police investigating shooting in Allegheny County, one victim in critical condition

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — Pitcairn and Allegheny County police are investigating an overnight shooting outside a bar on Broadway Boulevard in Pitcairn.

“It was probably a drunken fight. I don’t think guns and booze mix,” said Linda Delancey, who found out about the violence Wednesday morning when she stopped to get coffee from a nearby convenience store.

“When we got out of the truck I was like ‘what happened?’ And he was telling me and I was like ‘goodness, this just can’t happen,’” she said.

Police were called to the scene just after midnight.

Investigators say a man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being shot multiple times.

“I pray for him,” said Delancey. “I hope he’s better. I pray for both of them.”

The man who was shot has not been identified. There’s no word on a suspect at this time.

The circumstances leading to the shooting are still under investigation.
