Police: Victim identified, arrest made in Avalon homicide

AVALON, Pa. — Police have identified the man killed in a shooting in Avalon late Saturday night.

Theodore Denver Parks Jr., 38, was shot in the chest and died at the hospital just before midnight.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit initially responded to a request for assistance around 10:21 p.m. in the 100 block of California Ave.

Brennan Lamar Fife, 31, of Avalon, was apprehended at the time of the shooting and has been charged with criminal homicide.

He is currently in the Allegheny County jail.
