FRANKLIN PARK, Pa. — Ramblewood Pond is undergoing renovations to help reduce sediment runoff in Franklin Park.

Sen. Devlin Robinson (R) announced a $460,000 loan awarded from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Authority (PENNVEST) for the project.

“This project exemplifies how PENNVEST’s support can drive innovative, cost-effective solutions to improve our water systems and protect our environment,” said Robinson. “With this investment, Franklin Park Borough will not only enhance water quality in Pine Creek but ensure compliance with state regulations while benefiting more than 15,000 residents.”

Basin walls will be built around the pond and amended soils will be added to help reduce stormwater runoff.

Officials hope the project will drop the amount of runoff by 10%.
