ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — Repairs are underway after a 16-inch water line burst in Beaver County.

The break happened on Sheffield Avenue near Sycamore Street in Aliquippa around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The Aliquippa School District announced it will move to a virtual instruction day on Thursday because of the break.

The Municipal Water Authority of Aliquippa said crews are working to restore water service, and repairs are expected to be completed later Thursday morning.

Bottled water is available to customers at the Authority’s water treatment plant located at 120 Hopewell Avenue.
