BEAVER COUNTY, Pa. — A major Beaver County bridge will close for two months, starting in June.
PennDOT will begin lane restrictions on the Rochester-Monaca Bridge in just a few weeks leading up to the closure.
It’s part of a nearly $10 million project. Crews will be replacing joints, concrete deck overlay, doing steel work and more.
“It could hurt my business just a little bit,” Daniel Harper told Channel 11. He owns a barber shop on Pennsylvania Avenue in Monaca. “It might be backed up quite a bit. I kind of fear that. Then, they have to drive through Monaca, which is a small town.”
The bridge will remain open to bicycles and pedestrians.
Here is the suggested detour when the bridge fully closes:

· Take the exit ramp on the right for South Route 18/East Route 68/Rochester
· Continue on Brighton Avenue

· End Detour
