ROSTRAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Rostraver Township is under a boil water advisory after a water main break.
Community officials say portions of the township lost positive water pressure during the main break, which could allow disease-causing organisms to enter the water system.
The main break began at 11:10 p.m. on Thursday.
The advisory is currently expected to be in place for 48 hours. Officials say the water is being tested for bacteria and requires two negative tests before water is available for normal use again.
Water buffaloes are available to those who need water at the Rostraver Township Municipal Building. Officials ask anyone who comes to the building for water to bring a clean container.
