MILLVALE, Pa. — A multi-vehicle crash shut down Route 28 in Shaler Friday morning.
PennDOT shows the crash happened between Exit 3 (Millvale) and Exit 4 (Etna) northbound at around 5:50 a.m.
Photos from the Cherry City Volunteer Fire Company show a car wedged underneath a tractor-trailer.
Crews worked to get a trapped person out of the backseat of the car.
The person was taken to a local trauma center, officials said.
