Matt Ferguson said he installed security cameras at his home about a year ago with the intention of deterring vandalism on his sidewalk. Instead, the cameras captured two of his family member's vehicles being smashed by the truck as it barreled down the road -- soon followed by two trash collectors chasing after it.

"I looked at it and it was kind of shocking. You only see this on the news. I didn't think I would see it on my camera," said Ferguson.

A total of five parked vehicles were damaged. No one was hurt.

"Mainly, I was glad to see no one was getting in and out of their vehicles. I was shocked all of those vehicles got hit and no one was in them, thank goodness," said Ferguson.

Josh Ridenour's 6-year-old niece was playing on the sidewalk 20 minutes before the destructive accident happened.

"If she was out here, I wouldn't have her anymore," said Ridenour.

Since Friday, Ferguson's family has been contacted by waste management and its insurance company about repairing the damage.

A waste management spokesperson said they aren't releasing information regarding any disciplinary actions against the workers involved.
