Second teenager arrested as a suspect in deadly Downtown Pittsburgh shooting

PITTSBURGH — Police have arrested a second teenager they believe was involved in a deadly shooting that happened last month on Liberty Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh.

18-year-old Jayshon Martin was arrested on the 800 block of Moravian Way on Thursday.

Police say he was taken into custody without incident.

Martin faces charges of criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy, carrying a firearm without a license and tampering with evidence.

Eugene Nance, 23, was shot multiple times on Liberty Avenue in Jan. He later died in a hospital.

Martin is not the first teenager to be arrested as a suspect in this shooting. Police also arrested 18-year-old Erique Collington in Jan. Collington faces the same charges as Martin.
