PITTSBURGH — Channel 11 spoke to loved ones of Aileena Davis, the woman killed in a crash in Lincoln-Lemington on Monday.

Adam Carey, Davis’ fiance, was driving home when he came across the tragic crash on Lincoln Avenue.

He pulled over to talk to an officer.

“Someone got out of the car, and said there was a car involved, and the person is no longer with us,” Carey said.

He then asked the officer some questions and received a heartbreaking answer.

“I said, ‘I just need to know what vehicle is involved,’ He said, ‘What’s her name?’ and I told her her name, and he said, ‘OK,’ He said, ‘That was her,’ and he asked me if I wanted a hug. So I gave him a hug,” Carey said.

Aileena was behind the wheel of her car when she veered off Lincoln Avenue and ended up on top of an old garage.

“She lost control, hit this barrier, and then it launched the car up, and down over the hill, which was a 40-foot drop,” he said.

Channel 11 was there when crews removed the car.

Since then, Adam, and Aileena’s mother, have been struggling every moment of every day.

“I won’t ever hug her kiss her again, or say I love you. I used to call her sweet pea. And I’ll never be able to call her that again,” Deborah Davis, Aileen’s mom, said.

“She was the love of my life. I cared for her. She was my best friend,” Adam added.

But, they’re both determined to keep pushing forward, just like Aileena would want them to.

“She loved life and wanted to live. And she would want us to do the same and to keep doing what we need to do to live our life like she was still there,” he said.

At this point, it’s still unclear what caused her to veer off of Lincoln Avenue.
