“Very scary. I just live right around the corner,” said neighbor Jackie Jamison.

Police say this happened at a community park at the intersection of Third Avenue and Jefferson Street on Sunday around 4 p.m.

A woman told police her son and his friends were playing basketball when they say a man driving a black jeep fired shots.

Neighbors say kids are now scared to play there.

”It’s a shame. They built something for the kids to play at and now they aren’t even safe. They don’t feel safe in their own neighborhood and I just feel so sorry for the children,” said Jamison.

Luckily, no one was hurt.

Officers say they know the name of the shooter but have not officially announced any charges.
