ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Officers are still searching for the person accused of firing shots outside the Target on McKnight Road.

A Channel 11 crew was at the shopping center for another story when shots were fired, hitting a car that sped away just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.

According to police, those involved were exes and it appears to be an argument or dispute that escalated into the shooting.

Both cars left the scene.

“We have one individual who fired multiple shots at one car. At this time, we don’t have any people that were hit,” Ross Township Police Deputy Chief Brian Kohlhepp told Channel 11. “We do have the car that was shot at secured, and we’re working to process it for forensic evidence.”

The car that was hit by bullets was on Evergreen Road, just over the city border, where the person allegedly targeted in the shooting had escaped and met with police.

We also saw several officers in a neighborhood just off Siebert Road near Eden Christian Academy. At this point, police haven’t confirmed for us if the scenes are connected.
